Dr. Thompson grew up in the southside of the Indianapolis area, primarily in Greenwood and Franklin. She graduated from Franklin College as a Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient in 2015. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. After working in general practice for two years and realizing that she enjoys the more challenging cases she sometimes saw during general practice, she decided to join IndyVet as a full-time emergency veterinarian.
She currently resides in southside Indianapolis with her husband, Zach Hamm; her daughter, Alice; and two dogs, Zoƫ and Roxie. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Thompson enjoys traveling the globe, watersports such as kayaking or rafting, and baking and decorating cakes or cookies.
