Dr. Murphy is a California native having grown up in Long Beach, California. She moved to North Carolina in 2014 to attend North Carolina State University where she completed two Bachelor of Science degrees while competing as an NCAA athlete in gymnastic. She then moved to England in 2019 to attend the Royal Veterinary College where she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
She has only recently moved to Indianapolis and is having a good time learning the ins and outs of her new city. She currently lives her partner, Christopher, and furry cat child, Karou. Though the number of fur children is sure to grow now that she has a backyard and is out of school. Outside of work, Dr. Murphy enjoys cooking, reading, motorcycle rides with her partner, embroidery, and martial arts.
