Bio
Dr. Gehlhausen is from Jasper, Indiana, and grew up with an agriculture background. She completed both her undergraduate and doctorate degrees at Purdue University. Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Gehlhausen developed a passion for emergency medicine for all species, and a special interest in exotic animal medicine. She was able to attend a study abroad in the Czech Republic, and a rotation at the Indianapolis Zoo to work with exotic species. After an externship at IndyVet during her fourth year of vet school, she decided to join the team and pursue a small animal ER Mentorship.
Outside of work, Dr. Gehlhausen enjoys reading, exercising, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. She also has two snakes at home, Pascal and Toothless.
