Dr. Fischer is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and has been surrounded by animals her whole life. With family members working at the St. Louis Zoo, and growing up with dogs, cats, parrots, and fish, a career in veterinary medicine was no surprise. Dr. Fischer attended Colgate University in upstate New York for her undergraduate studies in Biology. After taking a year off of school to work at an emergency vet clinic in Chicago, she continued her education at University of Missouri for her doctorate degree. Throughout college and veterinary school, Dr. Fischer established special interests for small animal emergency and critical care medicine. As a new practicing veterinarian, her goals are to help educate owners and treat their pets to the best of her ability. In her free time, Dr. Fischer enjoys hiking with her dog Clarkson, cooking new recipes, and spending time with her close friends and family.
