Floyd Williams

Dr. Williams was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and raised in San Antonio Texas. While in high school his
initial plans of becoming an Attorney quickly changed after taking a Pre-Vet Med course during his
sophomore year. Having the ability to advocate for animals medically and help them fight disease is his
favorite part of this profession. Dr. Williams attended the illustrious Prairie View A&M University
(PVAMU) graduating in 2018 with a B.S. Agriculture concentrating in Animal and Food Sciences. Prairie
View A&M is the 2 nd oldest public institution in the state of Texas and is considered a Historically Black
College (HBCU) as it was the 1 st state institution for African American students.
Dr. Williams is now a Rotating intern veterinarian allowing him to gain qualifications to pursue an
Emergency Critical Care residency. His goal as an Emergency critical care specialist is to become a steady
contributor to evidence based Exotic/Wildlife animal emergency stabilization, medicine, surgery, and
treatment. While completing his degree at Purdue College of Veterinary medicine, Dr. Williams worked
in the Purdue Veterinary Cardiology department, Emergency/ICU department, and served as Treasurer
of the Purdue Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) chapter.
During his random bouts of free time or much needed wellness breaks Dr. Williams enjoys Facetiming
his family, Hiking, Fishing, Reading, Scuba diving, Meditation, and hanging out with his cats Rhea and
Stella as well as his ball python Pharaoh.
