Christopher Kuechle

DVM

Bio

Dr. Kuechle has always had a passion for animals, from pet sitting for his neighbors (cats, dogs, frogs, birds, fish, Guinea pigs, and hamsters!) to job shadowing at his local veterinary clinic through middle and high schools. He continued to develop that love into his undergraduate studies, during which he studied conservation and biodiversity abroad in South Africa in 2012.

He graduated with a degree in Zoology from Michigan State University in 2015 and was quickly accepted into MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Dr. Kuechle was vice president of his class and was offered a position at IndyVet as a rotating intern to better expand the foundation of his veterinary knowledge.

For years, Dr. Kuechle worked with the Walled Lake-Wixom Lions Club, which helps visually impaired individuals and works with leader dogs. He also served as an avian care intern at Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, working with raptors, game birds, and waterfowl.

In his spare time, he enjoys activities such as climbing, biking, backpacking, hiking, board games, good food, exploring nature and the world, as well as sharing ideas and discussing topics about life (philosophical, political, etc.).

Dr. Kuechle wants to make the world a better place in any way he can and truly enjoys emergency medicine.
