Dr. Megan Rubino recently graduated from Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine and joined IndyVet with interests in surgery, ophthalmology, and exotic animal care. Before veterinary school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from Drexel University and worked in both animal welfare and research settings. Her experiences have included canine behavior research and training with the Penn Vet Working Dog Center, low-cost and shelter veterinary care in both the United States and Thailand, along with wildlife conservation work in South Africa. She is passionate about evidence-based medicine, client communication, lifelong learning, and helping both pets and the people who love them.
Outside of work, Dr. Rubino enjoys drawing, gaming, and spending time with her cat, Obi (Obi Todd Kenobi). Her long-term goal is to pursue a veterinary residency in either surgery or ophthalmology and continue advancing her knowledge and technical skills through mentorship, advanced training, and clinical experience. She is excited to be part of the IndyVet team and to continue growing as a veterinarian while providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients.
