Bio
Dr. Gatens, a native of Hurricane, West Virginia, started his academic journey at West Virginia University, where he majored in Animal and Nutritional Sciences. During his summer breaks during his undergraduate studies, he worked at a local Animal Emergency Hospital.
Following undergrad, Dr. Gatens pursued his veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis. During his time in veterinary school, he developed a keen interest in small animal emergency and critical care.
In his free time, Dr. Gatens enjoys spending time cross-stitching, doing embroidery, puzzles, and spending time with Dot, his cat.
