Russell White

DVM

Bio

Dr. Russell White grew up in the Bay Area of California where he began working with animals from a young age. An interest in wildlife, and a lifelong passion for playing music, encouraged Dr. White to study ecology and music at the University of California at San Diego. He then went on to receive his DVM in 2016 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. After graduation, Dr. White completed a rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego, California and a surgical residency at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Dr. White joined the IndyVet team in 2020 not only to help provide the best soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgical care to the pets of Indianapolis, but to also work closely with the Indianapolis Zoo to provide surgical care to those animal populations as well.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. White is a glass blowing and metal working artist, a musician trained in piano and various other instruments, and a Lego stop-motion animator. He and his fiancé have three dogs that keep them both entertained and covered in fur.
