MacKenzie (Schultz) Casares
Dr. Casares has had an interest in emergency medicine since she volunteered at the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Emergency Room during her undergraduate work, and she worked at the hospital as student throughout vet school. Her ER experience there helped her earn the Award for Proficiency in Emergency and Critical Care by VECCS during her 4th year of veterinary school.
She has three pets: Mila and Maizy, both cats; and Captain, a German Shepherd. Her hobbies are outdoor things, specifically hiking and boating, preferably on a lake.
