Dr. Boone was born and raised in Indianapolis. He attended Purdue University for his undergraduate degree and then spent several years in Ann Arbor, MI attending graduate school and working in veterinary clinics. While in Michigan, he found his true passion was to work with animals and decided to return to Purdue University to train as a veterinarian. During his time at vet school, he became interested in the fast pace and high intensity of the emergency service and elected to pursue an ER apprenticeship after graduation. He was awarded the ACVIM certificate of clinical excellence for his work during his clinical year along with the Veterinary Cancer Society award for proficiency in clinical oncology.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Boone enjoys reading, cooking and hiking. He is the proud owner of two cats, Zeke and Willy, who have been with him through graduate and vet school.
