Serena graduated from Purdue University from the Vet Tech Program in 2019 with an Associates & Bachelors degree, and received her Registered Vet Tech license that same year.
She started at IndyVet right after she graduated from Purdue in 2019. Serena began her career in the emergency department on the night shift, but had the opportunity to join the CCU team 2 years later.
“I have grown so much being on this team, learning new skills and broadening my knowledge. Although I’m still learning new things every day, I am back on the night shift & have the opportunity to guide and teach other technicians some vital critical care skills that I have been able to become proficient in.” – Serena
Serena’s favorite parts of being a critical care nurse are the one on one intensive care cases, feline urinary obstruction, sepsis, shock, Addisonian Crisis, & traumatic injuries. She is BLS & ALS CPR Certified & Fear Free Certified
