Bio:
Dr. Matusiak was born in Indiana but has lived in many different states and considers Louisiana to be home. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian, and she spent much of her time in high school and college working as a veterinary assistant in general practice. She also studied abroad in Thailand working with exotic animals such as elephants and tigers during veterinary school.
Dr. Matusiak attended Mississippi State University for her undergraduate education and continued her academic career at Purdue University, where she pursued her veterinary degree. While in veterinary school, Dr. Matusiak discovered that her passion is emergency medicine, and she loves the excitement and surprise every day in the ER brings.
When not working, Dr. Matusiak enjoys watching Mississippi State football in the fall, baking, crafting anything with her Cricut, and traveling. She loves everything Disney and even worked there for a while! At home, Dr. Matusiak enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Patrick, and their pets. She has a black Lab mix named Beaux, a chocolate Lab named Minnie, and a black cat named Binx.
