Dr. Busenbark was born and raised on a cattle farm outside a small town in west central Indiana. He attended Purdue University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in animal science. Following graduation Dr. Busenbark took a year off from study to work at a swine production facility and to help out on the family farm. He entered the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine in the fall of 2012 and graduated in the spring of 2016. Following graduation Dr. Busesbark worked in general small animal practice in Terra Haute prior to becoming interested in emergency medicine and joining IndyVet in 2018.
In his spare time Dr. Busenbark enjoys volunteer work by doing spays and neuters at his hometown animal shelter, fishing, and playing the guitar.
