IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital

Pet owners rejoice at IndyVet’s Pet Carnival July 11

To help celebrate pet ownership, animal lovers can bring pets of all shapes and sizes to IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital’s 17th annual FREE Pet Carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11 right outside of the facility near Beech Grove, on Indy’s southeast side.

Attendees can browse over 30 central Indiana vendors featuring boarding and grooming salons, food delivery services, pet supplies, homemade fashions and treats, different types of therapeutics and more. Area rescues will have animals like greyhounds, labrador retrievers and beagles on-site available for adoption.

TurboRoo the two-legged chihuahua, 2014 winner of the CW Network’s “Underdog of the Year” award, will make a special appearance along with NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” semi-finalist Tony Hoard & his high-flying K9 crew. The Indiana State Police K9 Unit and an Eagle Creek Park naturalist will host demonstrations as well.

Other exciting highlights include free pet psychic readings and caricatures (both on a first-come, first-served basis), low-cost pet photos by Smiling Dog Photography, a “Best Dressed” and new Gerbeaux Dog Bakery pie-eating contest, a Splash Zone, paw painting, discount microchipping, the Pacers Fan Van (from 10 a.m.-noon) and tours of IndyVet’s state-of-the-art facility. Attendees can also enjoy complimentary lemonade, hot dogs and popcorn.
